Teriyaki Marinade/Sauce

Ingredients
 

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos or Bragg Liquid Aminos or tamari soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Xylitol
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 Tbsp water

Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

Marinade

  • Stir together all marinade ingredients and pour over protein (chicken, beef, fish, tofu).
  • Marinate 15-30 minutes.

Sauce

  • Stir together all marinade ingredients plus additional water and arrowroot powder.
  • Heat in a sauce pan over medium and allow to thicken.
  • Pour over cooked protein or vegetables or use as cooking liquid.
