Tempeh Taco Meat

  • 1 8-oz. package tempeh
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Celtic Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable broth
  • hot sauce no added sugar


  • Roughly grate tempeh using a box grater. Place in a skillet, spritzed with olive oil spray. Season with cumin, chili powder, salt, paprika and garlic. Cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium, stir in tomato paste and broth. Continue cooking 10-12 minutes, simmering until liquid has reduced. Adjust seasonings to taste. Add approved hot sauce for an added kick.


1 serving = 4 oz. protein
Serve over lettuce, Cauliflower Rice or in Cauliflower Tortillas.
