Spicy Orange Sauce

  • 1 orange halved
  • 1 lemon halved
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp green onion sliced
  • SweetLeaf Stevia to taste
  • pinch orange and lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch cayenne pepper


  • Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon into a small saucepan. Add the rinds and water and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer until the pulp comes out of the rinds. Scrape the pulp into the saucepan and discard the rinds.
  • Continue stirring and reduce the down liquid by half until desired consistency is reached.
  • Add onion, stevia, zest and spices and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Serve with your choice of meat or vegetables.
