I am zealous about holistic health and wellness. I found my passion in serving others in 1999 as a firefighter/paramedic before becoming a critical care RN. During my time at the bedside, I cared for acutely ill children and their families in both the pediatric ER and the pediatric ICU, as well as acutely ill adults and their families from within the confines of the adult ICU. After experiencing a considerable amount of personal loss in 2016, I embraced much needed self care, and journeyed deep within to find purpose and healing – holistically – body, mind and soul. In the last four years I have transitioned away from full-time positions as a bedside nurse and educator, to being a nurse entrepreneur of health and wellness. My commitment to life-long learning has led me to earn a master’s degree in nursing education, becoming a SHAPE ReClaimed practitioner and now studying for a Functional Nutrition Practitioner Certification. My personal healing journey has led to life coaching certification and work, retreat planning, functional medicine course work, and now the opportunity to bring health and healing to Acadiana through SHAPE ReClaimed. I am dedicated to empowering others, who seek change but don’t know how or where to start, to reclaim healthier lifestyles, holistic healing, as well as balance, growth and purpose in the chaos of the world we live in today.
