Patient: Claude A. 82-year old male. Starting weight 250 lbs. Presented for weight loss and health improvement. Patient had issues with gas and bloating, loose stools, leg cramps, swollen ankles and breathing.
Pmhx: Heart disease, gout, GERD, HBP, high cholesterol, heart attack, triple bypass, c pap machine, LBP
Meds: Zetia, Allopurinol, Metoprolol, Pivastatin, Potassium, Chloride, B12, Omeprazole, Furosemide, Asprin, Amlodipine.
Patient wanted to lose approximately 50 lbs and wanted to reduce his meds. The goal was to decrease inflammation in the body which the patient understood. We did Phase I: FasTrac Cleanse with pH Concentrated Minerals. Digestive enzymes of AF Betafood and Zypan were added to address gas and bloating. Gave trace minerals as well.
Patient lost 50 lbs. Leg cramps, swelling, bloating and digestive issues all resolved. Patient went to see his cardiologist after completing the SHAPE Program who then adjusted his medications and removed some according to the patient. Patient reported that all his blood work was “in check.” The cardiologist was so impressed he actually called me to see what we did. I explained to him the SHAPE Program, and he was very impressed and said he would pass it on to his other patients. Patient’s breathing had improved significantly and did not require the machine as frequently. Patient was very happy he was able to lose weight “at his age.”

We all have seen this kind of results in our patients but what is so impressive with this case is the starting age! So many elderly patients are told, “Well, this is what you can expect at your age.” Not true! Way to go Dr. K!
