Additional Notes
Patient was very compliant and did everything that was recommended. The biggest challenge has been getting the blood pressure under control. Patient’s blood pressure readings from this week have been the best they have ever been on no medication:
L 143/79 p82, R 148/84 p85.
Conclusion
Overall, Bill did absolutely wonderfully on the program and continues to live a SHAPE lifestyle. He feels in control of his health and continues to make healthy choices for himself every day. He does not have health insurance so he knew he had to get control of his health as he “couldn’t afford to be sick.” Also, his fears of a heart attack, losing his feet due to diabetes and becoming crippled due to arthritis, like both his parents experienced, are now gone! We will continue to monitor his blood pressure to ensure it does not increase and will determine if additional cardiovascular support is needed.

Dr. Todd’s Teaching Assessment
Don’t we all wish our patients took the can’t-afford-to-be-sick approach to life? The most significant aspect of this case was the fact that Bill, at 5’7″ and 160 pounds, was not really overweight. Yet, he shed 28 very toxic pounds.
Looking at weight alone, most would not have chosen to put this patient on the SHAPE Program. However, Dr. Linzi understands SHAPE’s ability to heal deep within and look at the amazing change that took place for this patient’s health.
The medications were obviously not effective. What this patient needed was lifestyle modification and health restoration.
Well done, Dr. Linzi! Pouring yourself into your patient’s understanding of what it means to embrace a SHAPE lifestyle saved your patient.
