I first heard of the SHAPE Program from others at work that had started the program through Dr. Phil Wagner’s office and were having great success. After seeing their results, I was ready to sign up.
I have always struggled with my weight and was at my heaviest ever at 252 pounds. I had tried many diets in the past including prescription diet pills and was able to lose on them but always gained it back within a few months. I knew being this much overweight was very unhealthy and would contribute to many health problems if I didn’t do something about it. I was already borderline diabetic.
I have gone from a size 20 to a size 12 and have lost a total of 62 pounds and 60 inches. I still need to lose another 30 pounds to be within my healthy weight range. I’m hopeful to lose it within the next couple of months.
I have received so many compliments on the weight loss and how much my looks have changed, and it’s a great feeling. What is even better than that is how much better I feel and how much more energy I have now. I have been able to start running, which was not possible when I tried a year ago. I’m on week 5 of the Couch-to-5k program and have signed up to run my first 5K in April.
Many people have not recognized me after the SHAPE Program and a new hairstyle. One of those people happened to be my husband. We decided to meet at a restaurant for lunch one day. I arrived earlier than him so I got a table for us. He walked in and I was waving at him and he looked right past me and turned away. We both got a big laugh out of that. He said he thought some strange women was waving at him, so he ignored her.
