Grilled Chicken Tacos with Cabbage Slaw

  • 8 oz chicken breasts
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Celtic sea salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp Taco Seasoning see link in recipe notes

Cabbage Slaw

  • 1 cup red cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp cilantro chopped
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp Celtic sea salt

For Serving

  • 4 large lettuce leaves romaine, leaf, butter
  • Greek yogurt
  • hot sauce no added sugar or oil
  • fresh cilantro


  • Marinate chicken breasts in lime juice, garlic and salt for 30 minutes. Grill until done and shred.
  • While the chicken is marinating, stir together red cabbage, cilantro, lime juice and salt.
  • Grill chicken until done and shred with a fork. Put in a skillet with water and Taco Seasoning and stir to combine. Heat on low for 5-10 minutes.
  • Divide chicken over lettuce leaves and top with cabbage slaw, yogurt, hot sauce and cilantro.


1 serving = 4 oz protein, 1 cup vegetable
