Creole Shrimp

Ingredients
 

  • 4 oz shrimp
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth or water
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp onion minced
  • 1/4 tsp horseradish
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • pinch thyme
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium pan, add all ingredients except for the shrimp. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and cook thoroughly for an additional 5 minutes. Deglaze the pan periodically with additional broth or water, if necessary.
  • Serve hot or cold.
