Chef Catheryn “Cat” Alaimo

“Cat” Alaimo began cooking at a young age as she received “counter top lessons” from her Italian family members. Her creativity and desire to serve others landed her a position as the youngest female cook at a large Northeast Ohio restaurant. Cat advanced into a collegiate setting, which led her to study restaurant and hospitality at Chicago’s own Robert Morris University Illinois. While in Chicago, Cat took advantage of every opportunity to learn; from the art of fine dining cuisine all the way to managing a farm kitchen! During this time, she had the honor of working alongside some of Chicago’s best chefs while earning a Bachelor’s of Professional Studies in Advanced Culinary Arts.
Desiring to “bring home the bacon” to her hometown of Northeast Ohio, Cat worked day and night with family and friends to open a successful wine bar leading as the Executive Chef. At the wine bar, Chef Cat developed a palate for pairing artisanal local and international foods with wine and beverages for specialty menus.
After building a strong foundation at the wine bar, Chef Cat found herself ready for her next project where she was led to a position as a Corporate Chef at the headquarters of a lighting innovation company. Here, she was in charge of all in-house business gatherings, café services, and private dining for the CEO. Chef Cat approached the corporation with a concept that would clear their existing on site kitchen of processed “junk” foods and quickly replaced the low-quality foods with a new style of cooking that focused on bringing more wholesome and nutritious foods to the workforce.
At this time she began to address some of her own personal health needs and was forced to face some hard facts. For years, Chef Cat struggled with excess weight, poor eating habits, and worst of all painful joint swelling when she worked the typical long hours in the kitchen. It was time for a new change, and more importantly time for her to lead a healthful life for herself and become a “product of the product”…aka cutting out inflammatory foods, minimize alcohol, and instead incorporate foods her body needed to thrive, not just survive.
With a desire to share her experience with others on a larger level, Chef Cat wanted to work for a company that allowed her to share her gusto for the new found take on life and celebrate these healthier choices. Chef Cat then realized it was only up to her to create this work environment and committed herself to a full-time entrepreneur and started A 2 Z Living Well Solutions Ltd. in 2016.
Utilizing local farms and sourcing nutritionally rich foods, guides our clients and their families to live a more health-conscious lifestyle that often goes beyond just a one meal experience. Chef Cat actively contributes to local farm markets, teaches live cooking demonstrations for large corporate events, and provides full service catering to individuals in their home, business, or whatever the special occasion. Her most recent achievement has been obtaining a certification in Anti-Inflammatory cooking which allows A 2 Z to be a valued liaison to local health care and chiropractic practitioners in bridging the gap on providing nutritional food menus to their patients.
A 2 Z continues to grow and engage the local community and cultivate meaningful business relations-one bite at a time!
