WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR SHAPE EXPERIENCE
Thank you for choosing SHAPE to ReClaim your health. Most who are working with a SHAPE practitioner have chosen our program because they were referred by a friend, family member, colleague, acquaintance, etc. who experienced tremendous success restoring their total health profile and they recognize the need for professional guidance. SHAPE practitioners partner with SHAPE ReClaimed, LLC and sign a contract annually agreeing to the protocol set forth by the founder/developers, Dr. Todd and Linda Frisch. We provide approximately 36 hours of audio/video training and each practitioner should study what we offer in training and do their best to attend our practitioner and support staff training symposiums. Please understand we work with healthcare professionals from all disciplines. Each offers their own unique approach to helping their patients heal. Some will dive deeper into your health restoration than others depending on their clinical expertise.
We are often asked, “What should we expect from our SHAPE experience?” We say, there is no “one size fits all approach” yet we do have a foundational protocol we ask all our practitioners to follow. Here is an outline of what to expect throughout your SHAPE experience:
1. Have a discussion about your health history and goals.
If you are a brand new patient, you should establish yourself as you would with any new practitioner. New patient intake forms should be completed, health history discussed, new patient assessment (whatever that might be with the particular practitioner chosen).
Each patient should discuss their health and weight goals before starting SHAPE. Set your intention on those goals and commit to consistent follow-up. Maybe you are one who has tried many programs only to fail time and again. We are practitioner-monitored for this very reason. Our program offers people the opportunity to work one-on-one with a licensed professional and together work toward developing new lifestyle habits that will sustain your success with the program.
For many, you’ve been a patient and your practitioner recently brought SHAPE into their practice. Because you are already established, your practitioner will introduce you to SHAPE from that vantage point. It is our hope they will suggest SHAPE to all those patients struggling with inflammation (that’s just about every patient who walks through their door) and work with them at whatever level they need to help that patient heal.
2. Receive a guidebook, explore the website and join the Facebook group.
Each patient should be provided a SHAPE ReClaimed Patient Guidebook, 6th Edition. Between the guidebook and the information on our website, every patient who chooses SHAPE should take on the personal responsibility of studying this information. It was created for you, the patient. Most practitioners do not have the time or the tenacity to explain the program over and over throughout their day. We developed these tools to help the practitioner educate their patients.
Please join our OFFICIAL SHAPE ReClaimed Support Group on Facebook. It will be the emotional sounding board you need to help you along your healing journey.
3. Complete a baseline Urine Analysis (UA) and establish an initial follow-up schedule.
A baseline UA is required before Phase I: FasTrac. Each practitioner determines what is best for their patient but no practitioner should be using SHAPE with their patients without monitoring them and running consistent UAs. Urine analysis results should be discussed by your practitioner the day of your appointment. Some will require weekly follow-ups at the beginning, some spread out the UA monitoring, again, dependent on symptoms, health history, length of following the program, etc. Some practitioners will monitor UAs during Phase I: Sure & Steady, depending on the health profile of the patient. For those inflamed to the max and on multiple medications to control lifestyle diseases, we suggest closer monitoring as your medication dependency will change rapidly. It is recommended a patient never go longer than 30 days between urine monitoring during Phase I.
4. Enjoy food based on the guidelines in the Patient Guidebook and according to any adjustments that your practitioner recommends.
Each SHAPE journey is tweaked depending on the diagnostic markers revealed in the UA and symptoms of the patient. Please understand the recommendations in the Patient Guidebook are the foundation of the program. For those choosing Phase I: FasTrac, please make sure you eat no less than the minimum listed in the guidebook and dependent on your follow-ups, your practitioner will adjust your food intake accordingly. Should you choose Phase I: Sure & Steady, there is no minimum, yet you are still to follow the Sure & Steady guidelines in the guidebook.
If your practitioner adjusts your dietary intake, please understand that is for you personally and not to be recommended to others on Facebook. Your journey is unique based on metabolic markers specific to you alone. Please do not make clinical recommendations to others. Not only is this inappropriate, your recommendations could very well derail another’s success.
5. Follow your practitioner’s individualized approach.
Some patients require additional supplementation to meet individual needs. Some are weighed, measured and have body impedance follow-ups. Some practitioners weigh their patients initially but depend on them to monitor themselves and report their progress at their follow-up visits. Some patients need vitals checked consistently depending on their total health picture. Some practitioners require pre and post labs (depending on overall health), and/or will do saliva testing to evaluate adrenal function, do a thyroid panel, hormone panel, hair analysis, etc. There is no right or wrong but more a personal preference by the individual practitioner.
From time to time, a Facebook member will pose the question, “What is everyone paying for the program.” We ask that Facebook not be the forum in which to discuss program costs. With SHAPE being offered by many disciplines in healthcare, the cost of doing the SHAPE program for each practitioner will vary. Each has their own specific level of expertise, clinical experience, geographical location and individual needs of the patient being factored into their fees. It is not appropriate to discuss price with fellow SHAPE warriors on Facebook. SHAPE Central offers a suggested retail price on its products. If you question pricing integrity of your practitioner, please call and discuss with your practitioner or SHAPE Central.
6. Experience TOTAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION
Most important in “what to expect” is your health being transformed. If you truly embrace what SHAPE ReClaimed teaches and represents, you will develop a new relationship with food and learn what foods are healing and what is toxic. Please take this seriously and do what it takes, no matter how hard and challenging, to ReClaim your health. The current health statistics are not favorable for future generations. If we all band together and boycott unhealthy foods and toxic eating behavior, we believe we can turn the tide and reverse these statistics.
We are not your typical “weight loss fad diet.” Though most start SHAPE to eliminate toxic weight, they are pleasantly surprised to find their complete health is transformed, which is more important to the SHAPE practitioner and should become most important for the patient.
We realize we are demanding with our program. We will not apologize for being rigid about our protocol. We require this for one reason and one reason only: PATIENT SAFETY!!! We want folks to succeed and history has proven that the majority of everyone who comes to SHAPE has tried just about every diet known to man only to fail, hence the need for a program with more accountability, guidance and total health support.
WE CANNOT MONITOR EVERY CLINIC WITHOUT YOUR HELP. WE TRUST EACH PRACTITIONER THAT SIGNS A CONTRACT TO BE HONEST AND PARTNER WITH US TO FOLLOW THE PROGRAM AS IT IS INTENDED. WE ASK THAT PRACTITIONERS NOT SELL SHAPE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THEY AGREE TO BE “HANDS-ON” WITH EVERYONE USING THE PROGRAM.
SHOULD YOUR EXPERIENCE BE NOTHING THAT RESEMBLES WHAT WE’VE OUTLINED ABOVE, PLEASE CONTACT SHAPE CENTRAL AT 636-207-6600.
