Our unique formula includes a combination of sucrose (needed bio-chemically) and a group of protein building blocks called amino acids: Arginine, Cysteine, Leucine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Valine. This combination supports energy production, metabolism, stabilizes blood sugar and aids in digestion.
HOMEOPATHY, HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE, NANO-MOLECULAR MEDICINE-NUTRITION
What is homeopathy?
Essentially: a holistic, natural, safe system of medicine; it stimulates the person’s own healing power; it’s practiced in countries all over the world; has no interactions with conventional drugs; is recognized by the FDA.
Homeopathy, homeopathic medicine or nano-molecular medicine (whichever you choose to refer to it), is a practice of medicine that embraces a holistic, natural approach that treats the whole person and not just symptoms of disease. Homeopathic remedies are produced, according to the U.S. FDA-recognized Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, from natural sources, whether vegetable, mineral, or animal in nature. The word homeopathy, which comes from the Greek, through Latin into English, literally means “like disease”.
This effective, economical and time-tested medical art and science views symptoms as the body’s way of communicating what it needs. Homeopathic medicines activate the root of the problem and stimulate the body’s inherent ability to heal; physically, mentally and emotionally. This well studied, remarkable form of medicine, uses minute doses derived from almost anything in nature. Remember: nature cures!
Western science has been marching towards the discovery of increasingly smaller particles of matter for centuries from molecules and atoms to sub-atomic particles and quarks. Homeopathic medicines are so small in dose that it is appropriate to refer to them as a part of a newly defined field of nano-pharmacology or nano-molecular nutrition.
The efficacy of small doses has been validated over and over again as referenced through the large body of evidence from basic science, controlled clinical studies, epidemiological data, clinical outcome trials, and historical review of the field.
Two hundred plus years ago, the “father of homeopathy” Samuel Hahnemann recommended the administration of one drop which is equivalent to 0.0416 nanograms of Belladonna and to repeat the dose every 72 hours. This is the first recorded nanodose of medicine used in the successful treatment of any disease in medical history. Samuel Hahnemann is credited with the method of preparation and prescription of nanodoses of medicine.
“Reducing particle size increases surface area. Nanodoses of medicinal agents have several benefits over crude doses of the same substance, including enhanced bioavailability, chemical and biological reactivity, adsorptive capacity, intracellular accessibility, increased ability to cross cell membranes and even the blood brain barrier, and of course, a substantial better safety profile (because of reduced toxicity). Nanoparticles can distinguish between healthy and unhealthy cells while bulk concentrations of medicine cannot.”

Homeopathy IS nano-molecular medicine and we have chosen to reframe our reference as such on our bottle of SHAPE ReClaimed.
To expand your understanding of homeopathy further:
The first principle: Let Likes Cure Likes
The guiding principle of homeopathy is stated as “let likes cure likes,” similia similibus curentur. While the concept of “like curing like” dates back to the Greek Father of Medicine, Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.), it was German physician Dr. C. F. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) who first codified this principle into a system of medicine. Starting with experiments (which he called “provings”), Dr. Hahnemann administered medicinal substances to himself and healthy volunteers (called “provers”). Symptoms that developed in the provers while taking a specific substance gave the homeopathic “picture” of, and indications for, that remedy. Over the years, by means of provings, toxicological data, and clinical experience, the homeopathic drug pictures of over 2000 substances have been derived. In the practice of homeopathic medicine, a detailed, comprehensive interview of the patient, called the homeopathic case-taking, is undertaken to reveal the physical, psychological and emotional characteristics and complaints of that individual. The homeopathic practitioner then finds the homeopathic remedy whose materia medica (drug picture) is the most similar to that of the patient’s characteristic totality. That homeopathic prescription (the similimum) is given to the patient to stimulate his/her being to heal: likes cures likes.
The second principle: The Minimum Dose
The second principle of homeopathy is that of the minimum dose. Dr. Hahnemann began using medicinal substances known to work in his day, such as Cinchona or Peruvian bark, for relapsing fever, in a homeopathic way. That means that he administered a medicament with a known remedy picture to a sick person who had a similar symptom picture. But, in the beginning, he was using crude substances, like full strength herbs. He observed that, while the patients got well, they also had side effects. To minimize those side effects, through further experimentation, he came upon the idea of potentization. Homeopathic medicines are prepared through a series of dilutions as indicated by the “6x, 12x, 30x” next to the remedy name. At each step there is a vigorous agitation of the solution called succussion, until there is no detectible crude substance left. As paradoxical as it may seem, the higher the dilution, when prepared in this dynamized way, the more potent the homeopathic remedy. The minimum dose therefore has the maximum therapeutic effect with the fewest side effects. In fact, homeopathy has an enviable, centuries-old history of safety in use of its potentized oral medicines among patients of all ages, including babies, children, pregnant and nursing women, and senior citizens.
The third principle: The Single Remedy vs. Combination Remedies
The third principle of homeopathy is the single remedy. Many homeopathic practitioners prescribe one remedy at a time. The homeopathic remedy has been proved by itself, producing its own unique drug picture. That remedy is matched (prescribed) to the sick person having a similar picture. The results are observed, uncluttered by the confusion of effects that might be produced if more than one medicine were given at the same time.
The founder/developer of SHAPE ReClaimed, Dr. Todd Frisch, formulated his product over three and a half decades of clinical experience using combination homeopathy as bio-regulatory medicine (multi-dimensional approach to health care.)
In the late 1920’s, a conventionally-trained German physician, Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, M.D. (1905-1985), began researching and experimenting with homeopathic remedies. He was initially drawn to homeopathy while in medical school when a homeopath cured his father of serious kidney disease. He completed his medical degree and went to Berlin to study with masters of homeopathy.
Once he began treating patients with homeopathic remedies, Dr. Reckeweg noticed how quickly the patients required another remedy. This concerned him, since he was closely following the guidelines of well-experienced homeopaths. In his practice, he observed that many human diseases seemed to be caused by exposure to toxins, both of external and internal nature. He termed this principle homotoxicology, i.e. the study of toxins in humans. The presence of such toxins was undeniable in view of the increasingly polluted environment and widespread damaging lifestyle choices.
By expanding this concept into a medical theory, Dr. Reckeweg obtained better results with combinations of homeopathic remedies than with single remedies and took to developing formulas for his own patients. Consequently, other medical colleagues began requesting his combination formulas.
The number of requests escalated so rapidly, that in 1936, Dr. Reckeweg founded a company to produce his medicines. He called the company Heel (an acronym of four Latin words: Herba est ex luce or ‘Plants come from light’). Heel grew to become the world’s leading producer and marketer of homeopathic combination products, with product distribution throughout the world.
Unfortunately, due to FDA demands that all Heel Combination Products meet HPUS regulations, Heel Germany decided they would not reformulate their products to suit US demands and completely pulled out of the United States.
Homeopathic treatment: Acute and Chronic
There are two main categories of treatment in homeopathic medicine; i.e., acute and chronic. Acute treatment is for illness of recent onset; it may be self-limited (for example, the common cold), or it may progress if not treated (for example, pneumonia). In such an illness; the body might overcome the illness, a cold for example, sooner or later, but the appropriate medicine gently stimulates the body to recover more quickly and efficiently. Chronic or constitutional treatment is the other main category of treatment. A chronic disease is long standing or a recurrent health problem. The length of treatment and the challenge to achieve positive results is affected by many factors, including the nature of the problem, early health history, family medical history, the previous treatment, and the person’s inherent constitutional strength. The goal is to help the person to return to a state of well-being through individualized homeopathic treatment.
To help you understand the premise of Bach Flower Essences
*Bach flower essences (remedies) form a part of complementary medicine. They comprise a therapeutic system that uses dilutions of flower essences developed by Dr.Edward Bach to balance physical and emotional disturbances. In the world of flowers, Dr. Bach found resonances of the conditions he found in his patients. He believed the right essence can help to bring the patient back to a positive, happy condition. Dr. Bach knew that the human being is more than a physical body. The human being incorporates a body of life energy, a body of sensitivity and feelings, and a spiritual body. Flower essences are energetic imprints of the life force of plants. Dr. Bach believed that the flower essences can help people with physical illness by addressing the emotional responses to their illness.
Bach flower essences (remedies) are similar to homeopathy in many respects. Bach flower essences are not dependent on the theory of successive dilutions, and are not based on homeopathy’s defining principle, the “Law of Similars” (“Like cures like”). Another difference between homeopathy and Bach flower remedies are the methods used to produce them. The production of Bach flower essences is handled in two ways, called “potentization”: the sun method and the boiling method both invented by Dr. Bach.
There are 38 original Bach remedies plus “Rescue Remedy™” (a five flower combination), each prescribed for certain mental and emotional problems. They form a complete therapeutic system. Practitioners treat every variety of human emotional imbalance with the 38 Bach flower essences. Dr. Frisch has had excellent clinical success utilizing Bach remedies during his career and has chosen Star of Bethlehem, Mustard and Oak specifically to compliment his SHAPE formula.
