Meatloaf – Shapeloaf

  • Spice mix:
  • 4 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 4 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Celtic sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 3 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • Shapeloaf ingredients :
  • 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2 eggs
  • 45 Blue Diamond Nut Thins (with hint of Sea Salt flavor)
  • 1½ cups of sugar-free pasta sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • ⅛ cup minced garlic
  1. Combine dry spices in a small bowl and mix them together.
  2. Crush Nut Thins to a bread crumb texture. I run mine through my food processor and it works great.
  3. Combine Seasoning Mix and all remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
  4. Shape into a loaf.
  5. Place loaf in a shallow baking pan or 9x5-inch loaf pan. I use this pan and I love it.
  6. The insert lifts out and the fact that it's raised from the main pan keeps it from swimming in grease.
  7. Bake in preheated oven at 375F oven for 1 hour or until cooked through. Makes 10 servings, approx 3oz each.
