Cabbage – Copenhagen

Copenhagen Cabbage
Recipe type: Phase 1 FasTac
  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup onion (1 medium), diced
  • 2 16 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cloves ground
  • 2 pkg shredded coleslaw mix (approx 8 cups)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown meat and onions and drain off fat.
  3. Blend tomato sauce, salt, cinnamon and cloves, and add to meat.
  4. Put 4 cups cabbage in 5-qt casserole and top with half of the meat sauce.
  5. Cover with remaining 4 cups of cabbage and pour remaining meat sauce over the top.
  6. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
